4th of July 2010

This year's 4th of July celebration was EXTRA special/patriotic, as we knew our local service men, the 118th Sappers, were being deployed to Afghanistan.  Ann Hawkins helped to coordinate local boy scout troops at each intersection of the parade to ALL march into the middle of each intersection and lead the ENTIRE parade in the PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE...it was such an amazing experience to see these young men and each member of the community come together to show these SOLDIERS just how much love and support they would have!  We love our SOLDIERS and pray daily for each of them and their families.
Troop 905 (including my two sons and two of my nephews) getting ready at their intersection

Saluting OUR flag and joining the community in the PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which IT stands, ONE nation, under GOD, indivisible, with LIBERTY and JUSTICE for ALL!"
The Color Guard escorting the 118 SAPPERS!

"OUR BOYS" - We LOVE you!!!

A few of the kids trying to get the candy!

Oaks and Kaiden...waiting and waiting and waiting!

Here I am handing out "Pledge of Allegiance" cards from the Credit Union

My typical "Becky picture pose."  I really should work on that!
