Fishin' in Whale Pass

James and the kids could hardly WAIT to get back to Alaska to FISH!!!  We did return to an addition completed on our house, so I made them wait until Saturday to head to Whale Pass to fish (there was work to be done, people!!!).  Saturday morning, bright and early (well, it was quite rainy, so maybe not so bright, but definitely EARLY), we packed up the kids and headed to Whale Pass for some SALMON!  We have some friends that live there, and they gave us a few pointers on where to go and OFF WE WENT.  Kaiden, Hunter, and James EACH caught a salmon with their bare hands...I think the salmon may have had some emotional issues and just wanted out...they swam right up to the boys and all but begged to be caught.  They snagged a couple more in the stream and then headed out in our friends boat to catch 5 more.  We left for home with a total of 10 salmon...GOOD DAY!!!

A picture of Brit taking a picture!
Hunter searching the tackle box...and Oaks on the run!!!
She's STILL running!!!
Kaiden and James workin' the stream
Look what Hunter caught WITH HIS BARE HANDS...the pole was just there for looks, I guess!
A few eagles hangin' out...they were quite far away, so the picture just can't do it justice.
Hunter had to show James and Kaiden his catch
Me and Oaks...it's not necessarily COLD, I just had to wear the heavier coat to keep DRY!!!
Kaiden's BARE HANDED catch!!!
Brit and Hunter decide to work the stream
My mighty fisherman...love him!!!
Guarding the catch...LOTS of eagles were out this day!!!  Such a happy kid!!!  :)
ON THE BOAT...hooray for awesome friends who take time out to help us figure out what we are doing!!!
Kaiden...my SERIOUS fisherman
THOSE ARE ALL EAGLES in that tree...we lost count after 20...wish I could have taken a closer shot...
...still not close enough for my little point and shoot camera...it was an awesome site!!!
Brit is becoming quite the photographer...
Here's another Brit shot...
