The gang spent the morning of March 10th shooting in the State Archery Competition. Because Stewart and Carrie's kids have participated in the past, we knew this lovely event would be happening when we moved. The kids have practiced hard all year and were very excited/nervous for the competition. Oaklee was too young to participate, but was able to shoot afterwards. Kaiden had a couple rounds that he was not happy with, but overall he did great. He qualified for the NATIONAL COMPETITION being held in Kentucky this May. Brittany had an awesome morning. She placed in the top 5 (not sure on the exact placing, as the scores have not been posted...I do know that she took 2nd in our district, but there was a girl from another district that scored higher than Brit, so I THINK that took her to 3rd place in the state, but I honestly don't know for sure). Brit also qualified for NATIONALS! Hunter surprised us all with an outstanding score for elementary. I fully expect to see him at NATIONALS next year!
Speaking of NATIONALS, Kaiden and Brit are working to earn the money needed for this experience...if you would like to donate, you can do so by clicking here. THANK YOU!!!
Carrie ATTEMPTING to explain the whole archery thing to me!
James make a GREAT coach, but not such a great camera man...this is the only picture I have of Brit - she's the blonde one, of course!

Hunter in the blue shorts (he wears shorts year-round, I swear) and Kaiden getting ready for another round
Kaiden's grouping - he's awesome!
