Easter Hunt in Coffman

Can I just say that this community KNOWS how to do EASTER?!?!?!  The local businesses (and quite a few individuals) pulled together and made our Easter AWESOME!  The kids KNOW they are loved in this little community...I've never experienced anything quite like it!  They divided the kids into 3 age groups (I had two in the middle group and two in the older group).  Each age group had many eggs to find...and some even had money in them - not the quarters I am used to - NO, they had MONEY...Hunter walked away with $28, Brit got $7, Oaks found $12, and Kaiden found $17.  There was also milkshake certificates, hamburger certificates, and movie rental certificates.  Each group also had one gold and one silver egg to find...the lucky finder of those eggs received and ADDITIONAL prize...HUNTER was the lucky finder of the gold egg for his age group...and he walked away with a $40 Wal Mart gift card!  I'm tellin' you...this community LOVES LOVES LOVES their kids.  We are so lucky to be here!  Oh, and when that was all finished, we met at the ferry terminal for a potluck luncheon...and while there, the Easter Bunny showed up with a basket full of goodies for EACH kid - even the visitors!  LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!

 Kaiden is ready to go!
 Brit is all smiles
 Sammie is ready!

Kaiden - such and enthusiastic kid!
Caleb ready for this thing to start!
 And she's OFF!
Loved this picture - I promise, Liz is NOT pushing Hunter - they worked together for much of the hunt!
Had to get a picture of Hunter's "get up."  Love this kid's sense of style!
See?!?!?  I told you they were friends!  :)
Josh going after the higher eggs
 Run, Sammie, Run!
The older kids had to REALLY SEARCH for their goodies.  Here's Caleb and Brit looking!
 Brit - STILL looking
Kaiden tryin' to find the good stuff!
 Stopping to appreciate the view!
I'm thinking James made an obnoxious comment...she really is having a great time!
I LOVE that these two spend time together!  One of the MANY reasons WHY we moved to Alaska!
Oaks with her stash - $12 and a token for movie rental!
Hunter is ALL smiles...he walked away with $28 AND the gold egg worth a $40 gift card
Money, Money, Money
