That sucks...

...so, I know, the language isn't the best, but I'm REALLY frustrated! I went to see the orthopedic surgeon about my knee. Well, I guess the damage to the cartilage is more severe than I originally thought. There is even damage to the bone. Anyways, the Dr. basically told me that I will probably have to give up running. AUGH!!! He said that if I continued to run, I would be back for another surgery in about 6 years, and have arthritis!!! I'm too young for that!!! So, anybody want to ride bikes with me? I still need to talk to my cousin to explain all the big words to me...but, I am scheduled for surgery April 24th. They are going to bleed the bone in hopes of creating a cushion where the cartilage is damaged. If they get in there and it needs more, then they will do a plug...get good bone and cartilage from one part of the bone, and put it in the damaged area. That is about all I understand. I will keep you updated as I learn more! For now, I am going to just feel sorry for myself! I'm no olympic runner, but it was something I enjoyed, and I could ACTUALLY do it!!! AUGH!!!!

I think you are being very nice only saying that sucks! I would be so frustrated, but at least you already know something else you want to start doing... bike riding. Keep us posted, and good luck!

Wow, that sounds painful. I am sorry for you, that you have found something like running that makes you feel good, and your body won't let you. But I do love that you have already come up with an alternative. And bike riding is something you can do as a family also. There's a bonus!
