OK - it was so stinkin' cold that this is how the kids really played! They had a good time, and even went up the hill a couple of times. Of course, Hunter and Carter left there shoes at the top of one of the hills, so Kathryn and I went up the hill to fetch them (this is starting to sound like a nursery rhyme). They (the shoes) happened to be sitting next to a sled and a snowboard, so Kathryn and I decided we would ride the sled down the hill together. We did not go very fast, and we managed to create quite a ravine in the sand, but we had a blast...and, fortunately, there are NO pictures to embarrass us!
Alex opened a cheese and cracker booth in the back of the van...it was a huge success.
Hunter won $5 from JC for sledding down from the TOP of the sand hill...good thing I was not there to see that!!!
Here is a view from the bottom. By the time Kathryn and I stopped by the store to pick up munchies and joined the crew, they were too cold. So, we did not get any pictures of them actually coming down the hill. Oh, well...it was still a ton of fun!
