One of the greatest blessing of living in Alaska has been the opportunity to spend so much time with the missionaries! My kids are learning so much from each Elder that comes into our home. The mom in me says that I can't have favorites, but I have to admit that there have been a couple of missionaries that have make a HUGE impact on our family. Elder Dennison was the first but, I don't have a picture with him...I need to contact him and see if he will send me one. He was an EXTRAORDINARY missionary, and I count myself lucky to have had him in my home so often!
Elder Van Bibber was transferred to POW about the time we returned from Utah this summer. His testimony and love of the gospel was apparent each time he came into our home. When he was transferred to Anchorage during the Christmas break, I found myself feeling like I was sending my own child away. We love these Elders and can't wait to meet the many more who will be in our home!
