It's CABIN time...LOTS of pictures...

One of our FAVORITE summer activities is going to the Lee family cabin. We didn't get there as much as we were hoping to this summer, but what time we did get was ENJOYED to the max. We try to get a little work done each time we go, and the kids are REALLY good at helping out. Monty's football boys were coming the week after this visit, so we decided we would be nice and leave some work for them to do...team building is very important, after all. During the weekend of July 24th, James and I took just our own little family to the cabin for the extended weekend. It was nice to FORCE the kids to play together! And, even though they missed their cousins, I do believe they had a good time. I am finding that it is becoming VERY important to me to have my family spend time together with just US! Those relationships are the very most important relationships to build. I adore my extended family, and my nieces and nephews are the greatest around, but I want my kids to know just how important their relationship is with eachother. Anyways, the weekend was a BLAST!!!

James having a "whopper" of a time. (Cheesy, I know!)

Brittany and Bob. She takes such good care of the kitty!

Kaiden - should I worry that I am creating a tree hugger? Or, do you think I'm safe just assuming he is a normal boy who LOVES to climb and worry his mother?

New meaning to "cotton mouth."

Another tree hugger...what will I do?

Nothing like dirt and cotton candy!

Adorable - even covered in dirt and sugar!

Boozer enjoying the great outdoors!

Brittany's official job was to keep the patio swept. She is such a hard worker.

Give this kid a stick and a knife and he is set for LIFE!!!

Our FAVORITE activity...EATING!!!

Seriously...getting a little too attached to the trees!

My manly-man!

Oaklee learned to ride her two-wheel bike with NO training wheels this summer...way to go!

Boozer LOVED all the space to run!

On raking duty...do you think he's contemplating breaking it over his knee?

Taking the sweeping duty to the rocks!

My little hams...just eating up the photo op!

Oh, the things they do for entertainment...ours, not theres! :)

Where did this kid come from? Definitely James' boy!!!

What to do with this child?!?!

Being too cute...how do I get after them?

What a man!!!

Taking her sweeping duty VERY seriously!!!

Pesky leaves and pine needles always get stuck in the rake!

Isn't she beautiful? Love this girl!!!

Wow, you got some great pictures. Life sure seems better when you have all your family, and of course lots of food, around you on the mountain. We too have enjoyed just doing things with just the 5 of us.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm not sure why you are so nice to me. These days it seems like I'm not very well liked by too many, but you always seem to have the right words, and I really appreciate your kindness. You are one amazing chick. Thanks for the advice, I've been taking it and I think I've gained 20lbs in the process-tehe-no really!
