I'm getting OLD...

32 odds and ends about ME...

1. I am married to the man I never even dreamed I could have. I truly believe that Heavenly Father created James especially for me. He knew that life would throw me a few curves that would take me to some crazy and scary places, so He gave me the blessing of a husband that could handle all my moods, emotions, and break downs. He is the gift I never believed I deserved. I love you!!!

2. I am a MOM!!! There is NOTHING better!!! I will never win the mother of the year award, but my kids are amazing and they know that I love them, so I am doing alright!

3. I love my job. I have had many jobs throughout my life, but I can honestly say that right now, I am where I want to be!

4. I teach the 15 to 18 year-olds in Sunday School. Talk about intimidating. They are some of the greatest kids I have ever met - and smart as all get out! I hope that somewhere deep inside, I can find what I need to be able to reach them and really help them find something to truly believe in!

5. I am addicted to chocolate. This is not a simple love of something...I am truly addicted. Do you suppose there is a support group for people like me? And, if so, do they serve refreshments....preferably chocolate?

6. I love kids. I love how they play...I love their outlook on life...I love their honesty...I love their ability to forgive...I love their pure love of everyone...I just ADORE children!

7. My neices and nephews ROCK. I had no idea I would love being an aunt so much.

8. I drive a van, but wish it was a sports car. I love to drive fast, but it's just not the same in a mini van :(

9. When I was little, I wanted to be a 49ers Cheerleader. (Scary)

10. When I got older, I decided I wanted to be a pediatrician. But, then I learned that I would have to see children suffer, and I decided that I wasn't strong enough for that!

11. I loved being tucked in by my daddy when I was little...and even when I was not so little. There is just something about being daddy's little girl.

12. I am an only girl...and I LOVE it! I don't remember even wishing for anything different. I have two older brothers and two younger brothers...and they are 4 of the most important people in my life.

13. To contradict the above statement...one of the curves that life threw at me was my parents' divorce. Through this I gained 6 sisters and 5 additional brothers. I love them and could not picture my life without them. I wouldn't change anything that happened to make them a part of me!

14. I hold a grudge. I try not to...and I wish I didn't, but when someone I love is hurt by another person...I find it difficult to let it go.

15. I LOVE shoes. I never thought I would be a shoe person...for most of my life I owned a black pair of dress shoes, a brown pair of church shoes, and a pair of tennis shoes. Now, I have enough shoes to fill my side of the closet and James'.

16. Accessories are my new favorite thing...earrings, rings, bracelets...you name it, I love it!!!

17. I have NEVER gambled. I have stood beside James as he hit the slots, or the tables, but I have actually never done it myself. I think I am too scared of becoming addicted.

18. If I pick up a book, I won't put it down until it is FINISHED! Even if it is BORING...I will read until it is done. This is NOT a great habit...I have lost MANY a night's sleep over my reading addiction.

19. Speaking of sleep...I am an insomniac. Not clinically proven, but I really struggle to sleep. I've been like this sinse I was a child.

20. I HATE to be like everyone else. If I can do anything to be different, I will!

21. I love shopping with Millie! That is an experience EVERYONE should have at least once.

22. I am super sentimental. I cry over Hallmark commercials!

23. I miss my Grandma Hall almost daily. When I see a cross stich, eat a Bajio's salad, listen to music...I just love this women and all that she did for me!

24. Eating out is one of most FAVORITE things to do. It doesn't matter where I go...I just LOVE to eat out.

25. I don't know how to properly apply eye make up. I have been to MANY Mary Kay parties, but I still get confused on which color goes where and how exactly to put it all on. I fake my way through it, but it's still a mystery to me!

26. Mt. Dew is the greatest beverage ever created!

27. Rude people REALLY annoy me. I get all huffy and puffy and want to just let them have it...I rarely do, but man, I would sure like to!

28. Orange and brown are two of the greatest colors EVER!!! If I pass by something in either of these shades, I HAVE to have it!!!

29. I love to color in coloring books. It's been forever, but when I get the chance to sit down with crayons or pencils, I quite enjoy it!

30. I am a sucker for the "under dog."

31. I can't stay with one hair cut for very long. I finally grew my hair out about 4 years ago...kept it that way for about 2 years, then I had to WHACK it off. Just over a year ago, I cut 17 inches off...then a few weeks later, I cut it again. That lasted for a few months, then I had to try something new. In just the last 6 months, I have cut my hair about 4 times...and I am currently scheduled for another haircut later this week. That is one change I really enjoy!

32. I refuse to diet. I have tried it a few times...I was even successful enough to lose 30 lbs after my last baby. But, I have decided that NO pair of pants is worth giving up my sweets. I run at least 3 times a week, so that will have to do!

There you have it...32 things you may or may not have known about ME! It will be interesting to look back on this next year and see if I can come up with 33 different things!
