It's been a crazy week. I've been busy at work and trying to get ready for the Primary program. I have taken a few pictures that I want to post, but the batteries in my camera are dead and I have not taken the time to charge them...it's such a simple thing, but I still haven't taken the time to do it! This week has been full of fun activities. James left for Reno on Wednesday morning (not a fun thing for me...I guess I should reword the previous sentence). Kathryn and I decided it would be fun to take the kids to the movie that night. I'm not sure if fun would describe two women with 8 kids, but the movie was hilarious! Thursday Kathryn and I attended a "Come to Your Senses" class - it was GREAT!!! Kathryn was alone that night, and so was I, so we decided to have a sleep over (haven't done that in a few years)...we rented a bunch of chick-flicks and made it through about 15 minutes of the first one. I don't remember sleepovers ending so soon in the past :) Friday I played "hookie" from work. I stayed home, visited with Kathryn, watched Brooke's kids (they were so great...I miss being able to help out friends like that), and went to Primary program practice.
I have to say...after the practice I was a little worried about how the program was going to go on Sunday...well, I have to tell you...the kids were AMAZING!!! They memorized their parts, and sang their little hearts out. The spirit was so dang strong! The older boys (10 and 11 year olds) have been memorizing D&C 4 - they recited the entire thing! It was so powerful...I was doing the ugly cry. I couldn't control myself! Then, the closing song was "If the Savior Stood Beside Me." Well, I made it to the second line before I was so overcome by the spirit that I had to stop singing! I LOVE the Primary! I am so grateful that I have been able to be the President of such an amazing organization! I am eternally grateful to my counselors (and that includes Mallory - my awesome secretary) for all their hard work and support. I work with the most amazing women...they are true inspirations! I love you - Brooke, Dorene, and Mallory!
As a final note, Hunter has been begging me to cut his hair into a mohawk. Well, I gave in today! I told him he could have a mohawk for one week. It has to come off on Saturday. As soon as I have my camera up and running, I will post pictures. Until then...have a great week!
